Tim brought in a copy of Creative Review today, and pointed out a picture on the back cover of a designer's office somewhere down in That London, probably. It looks quire a busily cool sort of office - high ceiling and lots of light. But it also has a poster on the wall that I also have - that says Keep Calm and Carry On. Those who work in my office use this as our mantra.
It's a reproduction of an actual poster used during the First World War, and is an indication of how attitudes towards encouraging public confidence have changed. At one time it was enough to have DON'T PANIC!!! emblazoned on walls in bold print and a crown symbol to show that it was a message from someone very important. I wonder if it would work now though. Oh well - it certainly helps me get through the day. I'm currently looking for the WORK FASTER - NOT BETTER poster.
I'd like a - "Tomorrows another day - let's do it then" Poster

Still, as I've said before, all that expensive education seems to have born some fruit.
