Murder most fowl
I was proceeding in a northerly direction at a speed of approximately 70mph when a young pheasant attempted to take off over the road just in front of me. I crossed its flight path and the results were catastrophic for the pheasant and not wonderfully fun for me either. I had to pull this startled and recently expired bird out of the front of my car. Eughh. Traumatic for all involved.
Yeah, not much meat on them at this age.
Seriously though, it's horrible knowing that you killed or injured something, even when it's unavoidable.

Tell the truth. You've been having car trouble again and instead of paying a proper mechanic, you got one of those cowboys who doesnt follow health and safety rules, wo swhy be surprised when the bonnet came down on his head and trapped it. Humans are ten times better than birds at mending cars and there's more room for innuendo when your "big end goes".

Plus... that's a female pheasant and was probably having lots of babies/eggs.

Did you have to remove it with your bare hands, was it still warm, where did you put it?
