Belting food

Fenwick Food Hall in Newcastle now has a Yo Sushi. Couldn't resist trying it, and wasn't disappointed. A little pricey, but something a bit different and quite fun. Will try it again some time.

OMG!!gonna have to call in there next time im up........

We have a similar sushi place here, but the sushi floats by on a little stream instead of on a belt. I think it's called Afloat Sushi.

That sounds very romantic. What I want is a place where the dishes are strapped to kittens that wander around the tabletops, or are suspended from small hot air balloons that drift around the room. There simply must be dozens of creative and interesting food delivery systems yet to be exploited.

What intrigues me is how they know which dishes you have taken from the conveyor.

...so how do they know what to charge you?

The waitress comes and makes a note of the dishes you have next to you, and their colour, which determines the price, and writes a little bill that you take to the checkout. Dishes start at £1.50 and go up to £5.00.

She doesn't have a blog yet and frankly shouldn't be on this list until she has, but I'm scared of her and she insisted...
  • Aaron 'So Cool' Sokell

  • Tim 'The Enchanter' Sokell
Tim is a friend, colleague, mentor and Norwayphile. He is an wise man, and we would do well to listen closely to all he has to say.
