I absolutely love this film - and I've been trying to hunt down the soundtrack to it for years. I'm not sure if it was ever released, but yesterday I found a lead in my investigations, and emailed a chap called Colin Tully who was indeed the composer, and sax player on the Tom Scott style tracks. Last night he left a message for me with his number, and this evening I called him.
What a nice bloke. He's an Alexander Technique practitioner now in Bristol - at the time he did the Gregory's Girl soundtrack, in 1981, he was just finishing his training, after having done the music for Bill Forsyth's previous film too, That Sinking Feeling. We had a good chat about music, in particular the Gregory's Girl music, and other projects he's worked on, and he said he'd send me the GG soundtrack that he's got on tape, along with some other stuff with the same band he did later.
It's so great to talk to someone whose music I've enjoyed for nearly 25 years, and he seemed pleased that I was interested in it. I think if I'd been involved in what he'd done I'd still be telling everyone 25 years later whether they were interested or not. I am quite shameless though.
Only about everything.

Hello Jason
That's a great story and I am thrilled that you were able to converse with Colin Tully. It has been awhile since you posted your message. Did he ever sned you the soundtrack? I am interested in locating it myself. You would probably make a lot of people's day by posting it online.
Thanks.
